THE BOOKS

The Digger, my middle grade mystery, published by Featherweight Press, has received favorable reviews on Amazon and Goodreads, with one enthusiastic reader describing the novel as "a more modern Nancy Drew." The book is suitable for young readers. My humorous contemporary romance, Lonely at the Top, will be out in fall, 2014. I'm currently at work on an adult mystery, also set in the mythical town of Hogan, Colorado. In this as yet unnamed novel, Lena Hargrove, a detective on probation, must find out who is killing the town's most prominent ladies who lunch.

After Cammie Wilson moves with her mother to a small Colorado town, she witnesses what looks like a horrible crime. But no one, not even her uncle, the Police Chief, believes her. Her dad might, but he's away, serving in Afghanistan.

When a second body turns up and the town oddball is blamed, Cammie realizes she's the only one who knows enough to find the real culprit.

Her worried mom has decided that now is the time for Cammie to have a service dog because of a peanut allergy. But how can she make new friends with this dopey dog tagging along?

And how, when everything is stacked against her, can she follow the trail of clues in time?

Lonely at the Top

Tina Mitchell, a daughter of North Dallas high society, strives to please her parents, both professionally, as CEO of the family business, and in her personal life. Her class-conscience mom and dad wish her to marry a privileged childhood friend.

On a Vail ski weekend, Tina is pursuing her blueblood childhood friend when her heart betrays her by attaching itself to a charming working class slacker.

Coffee barista and secret software entrepreneur Burt Kaczynski has shied away from snobby women ever since his social-climbing high school sweetheart dumped him after his oil well ran dry. Never again, he vows; yet, Burt finds himself irresistibly drawn to repeat his painful mistake.
